Oops.

So I just realized this will be the second week in a row I haven't done a Favorite Things Friday post.  Ha, please take note of my last post title.  It explains it all...mostly.  To be honest ever since about four weeks ago when I found out I'd be going to Nevada the second week of March, I pretty much mentally checked out and haven't come back.  Have I ever mentioned how much I love Nevada?  Seriously.  I have all these random spots out on our farm where I'll just go and sit and think.  I honestly haven't found anything that even compares to my "thinking spots".  Each one is special in its own way and allows me to enjoy different aspects of nature.  Seriously, I have my "sit and listen to tweety birds" spot, my "sit and watch the sun set" spot, my "sit and pretend I live in Little House on the Prairie times" spot.  And have you ever seen the stars on a clear summer night in the-middle-of-nowhere Nevada?  Heck, make that on any clear night.  And even though we don't usually get much in the rain department, when it does decide to get stormy there it can STORM.  We're talking house-shaking thunder, lightning that can make a night sky turn into daylight, and pouring rain.  And as soon as its finished you step outside and breathe in the fresh clean rain mixed with sagebrush scent.  Nothing can compare to it.  Except for maybe fresh cut alfalfa in the summer.  Sigh.  Here's to making it 5 more days until I'm back in the Silver State.  Until then, I'll just sing this in my head.  Or out loud.  Either way, I'm good.

Disclaimer: I am in no way, shape, or form promoting Harry Reid.  At all.
I was just blown away by The Killers singing our state song
...and it was the best quality video I could find.
