Today was a good day.
Actually, good may not cover it. More like today was a superfreakingfantasticawesomeamazingwonderfulbomb.com day.
Yeah, it was that good.
And all because of--you guessed it--FRIENDS!!!
As in, I made a new friend in class today, wrote a letter to my friend on a mission, went and visited one of my two bestest friends (and her adorable baby who loves me the most!), saw old awkwardish "friends" while at work, made my boss friend snort laugh lots and lots, and then went and hung out with my old roomfriend and her friend and her friend's friend. Amazazing, right? So yeah, it was a very friendly day overall. And my car may have gotten stuck in the treacherous snow and I may have had to push it out (with the roomfriend's help, of course). You should probably be impressed.
Here's what's on the menu for my "Favorite Things Fridays" this week:
this is the roomfriend I was talking about. Holy heifer this girl is a hoot and a half! And we definitely make a good team--especially when convincing her friend to go visit her (male) friend.
It worked out perfectly.
He was excited to see her.
Definite win for Team Torr & Stace
Also, we're going to open a cupcake shop together. I'm in charge of sprinkles.
G's Dairy:
Gavin's Mess. Chocolate ice cream + caramel swirl + oreos = 'nuff said.
Health:
I ended up only being sick for oh about 8 hours. If even.
Being a kid:
Sometimes I feel like I'm supposed to be a grown up, but I don't exactly know how to. And then I read a post on Busy Bee Lauren the other day about what "growing up" means and it reminded me of something I'd heard before--whatever age you are is a combination of all the ages you've already been. So therefore its perfectly acceptable if I choose to act any age from 23 on down. And lately its been about 19.
Breaking curfew:
So I normally do like to follow rules...mostly...but tonight I didn't even pay attention to what time it was as we were visiting this roomfriend's friend's (male) friend's apartment. And then his self-proclaimed "rule sticker to-er" roommate kicked us out and said it was after one! Bah! I've always wanted to get kicked out of somewhere for breaking curfew. Mission accomplished.
We also basically got kicked out of Wal-Mart
Who knew it closes at 11 on a Friday night?
Irregardless, another point for Team Torr & Stace
People who get my humor:
So, I kindasorta LOVE making people laugh. This one time I got my grandpa to laugh so hard he cried. Twice. Usually I feel like people just don't get me though and my humor feels wasted. But this week something happened and I've had 'em in stitches! I could get used to this...
Buns in the oven:
So many people I know are pregnant. Dos of my sisters, dos of my good friends, and a few randoms here and there. And so far I've predicted about half of them. I know, I'm good. Now we'll just have to wait and see how my gender predictions hold up.
Speaking of buns:
My middle-aged, never married, childless co-worker decided to share this advice with me the other day..."What you need to do is find yourself a hot tamale and start poppin' out some babies." I've never uttered a more nervously awkward laugh in my life.
Friends:
I think I may have already made my point, and to avoid unnecessary redundancies I'll leave it at that. But man oh man it was a friendly week.
P.S. I hope you like my addition of the picture.
I guess now that I've figured it out,
I'm going to have to do it more often.
Blast.
