Stupid blog...

Oh hey, remember the other day how I mentioned I was working on downloading new fonts so that I could make my blog pretty?

Well, it didn't work.

And one of the suggestions the stupid tutorial had for if it didn't work was to switch over to a simple blog format with no modifications made to it.

Well, it still didn't work.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why my blog is now ugly.

I'll fix it again soon enough, but I just wanted to make sure and take the time to think about how I really want it to look before I start playing around with it.

Plus, I kinda feel like holding a grudge against my blog and making it stay ugly as punishment for not working with me. 

Today I made a header

Today I had a simple goal.  I wanted to further my blogucation (blog + education) and learn how to put a picture in my post.  Its probably nowhere near hard, but I still have no idea how to do it.  Probably because I spent the majority of my free time today cookin' up that little number

I got an idea today for my header,  found a cute little owl picture,  inserted some text, and it came out pretty much how I planned...which is kind of a first for me.  I didn't even have to use my best friend google for help.  And I just found the button you click to put pictures in your post.  Holy heifer.  Maybe I'm getting this blog thing down better  than I thought?
  

Sidenote: depending on when this is read, my header may be fixed (hopefully)

...or it may still be skewed to the left.  

My computer decided it wanted to over heat and then lose any connection to the internet.

And now its taking its dear sweet time (as in well over 10 minutes) installing 5 updates.  Jerk.

Oh well, you get the idea.  

Technical difficulties

Hello friends!  So let’s be honest, this blog business is TRICKY!  There is definitely no magic formatter tool that makes your blog super-de-duperty cute with the click of a button (unless there is and I just don’t know about it…in that case let me know asapical!)  I’ve been googling anything and everything blog related for the past couple days trying to learn as much as I can.  And even though I’ve put forth all those hours of (semi) concentrated effort, I feel as though I have nothing to show for it.  Sigh.  But I am NOT giving up that easy!  I feel as though I’m this close to figuring it out and really getting into the swing of blogging.  So, my faithful little readers (ahem…mom…if I ever stop changing the address so you can actually find it…), I do promise I’m slaving away trying to figure out how to get the most out of this little fella.  Definitely expect to see more changes in the near future!  And until then, just enjoy sharing my favorite things with me.
